About Rai Somatic Therapeutics
Rai started teaching yoga in 2010 certified through Nobhill yoga school, High desert yoga, and Sundara trauma yoga therapy. Continuing their education through 2016 as a yoga instructor. They began studying trauma informed care with Sundara Trauma informed yoga therapy in 2018, as they started doing integrative somatic sessions with adults in outpatient programs in Albuquerque, NM. In 2019 they began working in Crisis stabilization with inpatient behavioral health hospitals in Albuquerque, then expanded into working with detox patients, and those in supportive aftercare programs. in 2023 Rai began offering somatic integrative therapeutic sessions to children and adolescents within acute care impatient behavioral hospitals- then expanded into Adult acute care and outpatient programing. In 2025 began studying with Steven Porges alongside nine experts in the fields of neuroscience, healthcare, and therapeutics to learn polyvagal theory more comprehensively. Earning Rai a Polyvagal-Informed Certificate from Polyvagal Institute. With over 15 years teaching experience, Rai is dedicated to continuing their education and creating dynamic sessions devoted to meeting the unique needs of patients.
